Visit the Lobe Falls by canoe

The Lobé Falls are located in the southern part of the Cameroonian coast to the south, about 7 kilometers from the city center of Kribi. The Lobé Falls are rare in that their waters flow through a series of waterfalls and flow directly into the Atlantic Ocean.

This natural and unmissable landscape represents the crossroads of three riverside coastal civilizations (Pygmies, Batanga and Mabi) and is considered by them as a historical and cultural wealth. Indeed, the falls are understood as a place of beliefs where water can be used for purification and healing.

The visit is possible aboard a fishing canoe that will take you on a ride to the bottom of the falls, offering you more interesting visibility at the expense of some thrills.

The shore is littered with a few street vendors selling artisanal products (paintings, sculptures, etc.), and it is possible to eat crayfish and plantain fries while sitting in front of the falls.

The beauty, charm and fascination of this magnificent landscape earned it in 2006 being recognized and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
